Representation gap

The distance between how a member votes and what their seat’s own presidential result predicts a member from that seat would vote. It is a distance, not a verdict: a member may be further from their district’s presidential lean than average for reasons no statistic can see.

One tick per member the gap is computed for, 528 of them, at their gap in the 119th Congress; the rule is the median, 0.00. The lowest is -0.40 and the highest +0.47.
